0. Getting Started with the Google Map API

1. Decide what Web location(s) you will be posting a Google Map. You will need to provide the Web address (URL) when you sign up for an API key.
2. Go to http://www.google.com/apis/maps/
3. If you don't have a Google account (such as for GMail), you will need to sign up for a free account.
4. Read the Google API agreement and, if you agree, provide the Web address where you'll work with the API key and sign in with your Google account.
   NOTE: You can sign for multiple API keys, one for each directory you'll be putting maps.

Google will provide a page similar to this when you sucessfully get an API key. Save and/or print out a copy of the page for reference.
