All learner drivers want to pass their Traffic Police Practical Test on their first try and obtain their driving license as soon as possible. In order to increase the chances of achieving this, learner drivers must build up their driving knowledge and skills as much as possible. Here are some tips to build up the driving knowledge and skills.
1. Learn from a variety of sources
Driving knowledge and skills can be obtained from a variety of sources. These sources include the Singapore driving instructors. During the driving lessons, the driving instructors will be able to pass on the driving knowledge to the learner drivers. Moreover, the learner drivers’ driving skills will be enhanced through the lesson.
However, getting your driving knowledge from the driving instructors is merely one way of doing so. Learner drivers can also learn from reading books and online materials on driving. There are valuable lessons and insights that the books and online materials can give you. Some of these insights may be left out by the driving instructors.
2. Validate your driving knowledge
Whenever you learn something, try to validate it against a variety of sources. For instance, if you learn X in an online material, try to see if other online materials also says the same thing about X. Alternatively, you can consult your driving instructor during your lesson with him to ask about X too. On the flip side, you can also validate what you have learnt from your driving instructor against the books and online materials too. The purpose of doing so is to ensure that your driving knowledge and skills are absolutely accurate. The worst thing to have is to possess flawed knowledge.
3. Practise all the driving techniques till they becomes habits
Good learner drivers make it a habit to drive well. Use all the good driving techniques and drive so well that they become a habit. Once you make it a habit to drive well, the skills will stick to you for long term.
